Imperial Life in the Emerald City

Hey all! I finished another book; I have been ripping through them (what happens when you didn’t do the reading you were supposed to do during the semester, and your final is on Friday). This one was Imperial Life in the Emerald City by Rajiv Chandrasekaran. The review I posted on livingsocial is included in the link <– back there 🙂 Based on 2 years of personal interviews and reporting, Chandrasekaran, a Washington Post reporter (I think, maybe contributor?) did an excellent job of giving a view of the American Occupation of Iraq. Pretty eye-opening, and as I mentioned in my review, made me feel fairly disgusted with the Bush administration and humanity in general. But that’s just me. Doesn’t help that I had already read The Looming Tower and was already fairly disgusted with the Bush administration and humanity).

Oh well, time to move on to the 4th book I needed to read. Won’t be able to finish it, but I figure a few chapters are better than none (especially since it is the book written by my professor!)
